    This workshop is a preview of one of our courses (IST 344- Data Analytics and Information Visualization). The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the important principles and techniques for translating organizational data into visual stories that can be used by managers to make data-driven decisions.     Lorne Olfman is a professor and director for the Center for Information Systems & Technology (CISAT) at Claremont Graduate University. Olfman’s research interests include: how software can be learned and used in organizations, the impact of computer-based systems on knowledge management, and the design and adoption of systems used for group work.
