LA Arts in the Age of Corona - CBMArts Online Conversation Series - Rachel Fine

Rachel Fine, Executive Director and CEO of The Wallis, will join for the Tuesday May 5th conversation.



Prior to assuming her position as Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Rachel Fine was Senior Consultant at the DeVos Institute of Arts Management.  Drawing upon an 18-year career in the arts as a versatile administrator, educator, and fundraiser, as well as a professional classical musician, Fine served as Executive Director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), establishing LACO as orchestra-in-residence for the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA in an ongoing and mutually beneficial collaboration. In addition, she spearheaded high-profile community events as “Play Me, I’m Yours,” an ambitious three-week project that placed 30 pianos in 30 locations across Los Angeles, and Strad Fest LA, a four-day citywide festival featuring eight Stradivarius violins.

"LA Arts in the Age of Corona” is a twice-weekly conversation, hosted by CBMArts at CGU, with arts leaders and artists about how the current coronavirus pandemic is changing the way we work and engage with arts, culture, politics, and each other. Our aim is to bring out the stories that matter, but also to imagine how we can make LA arts and culture stronger, more resilient, and more dynamic, as we adapt to situations on the ground, in the air, and on the horizon
