LA Arts in the Age of Corona - CBMArts Online Conversation Series

Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PMPacific Daylight Time UTC -07:00

Natalie Marrero, Executive Director of Conga Kids, will join for the Thursday, April 2nd, 12-1 online conversation of “LA Arts in the Age of Corona”

Natalie is a leader with extensive experience in the dance world. As the previous Executive Director of Viver Brasil Dance Company, she significantly increased organizational capacity, while overseeing a strategic rebranding and increasing contributed income. Now at Conga Kids, she has helped expand their in-school partner dance program that promotes social-emotional wellness in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. She also supports a team of 2 full-time administrators and over 20 seasonal teaching artists.

Founded in 2016, Conga Kids is a 501(c)3 arts education nonprofit organization and Los Angeles' premiere classroom-based dance program. Their re-imagined curriculum speaks more to the demographic of the local population and focuses on social dances like Salsa, Merengue, and Swing, along with more traditional ballroom dances like Foxtrot and Tango.

"LA Arts in the Age of Corona” is a twice-weekly conversation, hosted by CBMArts at CGU, with arts leaders and artists about how the current coronavirus pandemic is changing the way we work and engage with arts, culture, politics, and each other. Our aim is to bring out the stories that matter, but also to imagine how we can make LA arts and culture stronger, more resilient, and more dynamic, as we adapt to situations on the ground, in the air, and on the horizon

Please note that all conversations take place between noon and 1 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time

Note - Zoom information will be sent to all registrants before the conversation

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
