A recent nationwide Gallup poll found that 80% of young adults say leading a life of purpose is very or extremely important to them. Yet fewer than half believe they are actually living with purpose. Why is purpose so difficult to cultivate, and what does research tell us about how to develop it? Drawing on decades of psychological research, this engaging and accessible talk will explore what it means to live a purposeful life, why purpose matters, and how purpose develops across the lifespan.
