Join us at Claremont Graduate University's New Student Orientation, where you will be welcomed into the CGU community. Orientation will be a multi-day event featuring both virtual sessions and on-campus activities. Familiarize yourself with your graduate resources, academic department, new peers, and our beautiful campus. This event is open to new and incoming Summer and Fall 2024 students. We are excited to kickoff New Student Orientation with you on Tuesday, August 20! Our event emcee, representing the Graduate Student Council, will start us off with a warm welcome followed by an encouraging message from CGU Interim President Tim Kirley. We will then hear from our keynote speaker, CGU alumnus Barbara Blatz-stone.

Once your ID is ready, you will be notified to pick it up at the Connection Office in the Library.

Extended Hours
The Connection Office will be open during our New Student Welcome event for you to pick up your ID until 6:00 pm PT.
Take Your Photo In-Person
If you are visiting Connections to take your photo in-person, please bring your 6-digit CGU ID number from your admissions letter. The ID will be ready in 10–15 minutes, depending on how busy it is.
Online Students
If you are an online student and do not plan to attend the New Student Welcome, please include your mailing address in your email to Connections. CGU Student ID cards will only be mailed to U.S. addresses.
