Join us for a conversation between Joey Piziali, Owner/Director Romer Young Gallery, and Jonathan T. D. Neil, Director, Center for Business and Management of the Arts, Claremont Graduate University.

The bay area has been a leader in areas of technological and social creativity for more than half a century, but the arts and cultural sector has struggled to gain the kind of visibility, and support, that is prevalent in places such as Los Angeles and New York City. Nevertheless, there are new models and new ventures afoot. After 15 years of working as an artist and gallerist in San Francisco, Joey Piziali is uniquely positioned to discuss these big changes that are coming for the arts in the bay area and beyond. Join him and Jonathan Neil for a wide ranging discussion about Romer Young, the gallery that Joey and his partner Vanessa Blaikie started in 2011, Pamela Jorden's exhibition (opening November 2nd), and how the arts and cultural sector will be transformed by the maturing of silicon valley's massive wealth.

    Doors open 6pm
. We will be serving light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments until 8:30pm.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
