Students from Claremont Graduate University’s Center for Business and Management of the Arts are pleased to present Crosscurrents: Tracing Cultural Identity, a group exhibition of works by Carolina Caycedo, Cirilo Domine, Karen Lofgren, and Umar Rashid at The Art Gallery at Glendale Community College. The exhibition addresses the current sociopolitical climate by exploring issues such as marginalized cultural knowledge, global sustainability, and the complexity of geographic borders. Each artist traces the heritage of exploited communities, connecting the artistic process to the history of the land. Join us for the opening reception to speak with the students who curated this exhibition and see firsthand how the CBMA Art Business and Arts Management degree programs combine both theory and practice for curatorial studies
