Join Jan Pascale, Academy Award–winning set decorator; Steve Irwin, video playback supervisor for notable films such as “Pulp Fiction” and “Forrest Gump”; and Joshua Goode, Professor of History and Director of the Center for Humanities in Practice at Claremont Graduate University, for a thought-provoking conversation on how computers have been portrayed in Hollywood over the decades.

What has Hollywood misjudged, predicted, and foreshadowed about computers and humanity’s past, present, and ever-changing future? Showcasing clips from films Jan and Steve have worked on, they will combine their expertise in bringing computers to life on screen and ensuring that machinery and on-screen content are accurate and realistic — offering a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the role of computers in film, both on screen and behind the camera.
